The Commission for Economic Policy (ECON) will hold its 25th meeting on 11 December 2024 in Brussels. The meeting will be chaired by ECON President, Dainis TURLAIS (LV/renew E.)
Members of the ECON commission are scheduled to debate and adopt two draft opinions:
- A strong European defence industry - Rapporteur: Fernando LOPEZ MIRAS (ES/EPP)
- Supporting SMEs in regional value chains – fostering the proximity economy - Rapporteur: Oszkár SESZTÁK (HU/ECR)
ECON members will also hold a debate on the implementation and enforcement of EU Trade Policy, following a presentation by Geraldine EMBERGER, Adviser on Free Trade Agreements Coherence, at DG TRADE, European Commission.
