Protocol Service

As the EU's assembly of local and regional representatives, the European Committee of the Regions is a political institution whose work involves maintaining close relations with senior representatives at European, national, regional and local levels.

With the Committee receiving more than 250 visits a year, the Protocol Unit makes sure the assistance provided meets the standards set by the CoR when it comes to welcoming presidents of European and international institutions, heads of state and government, presidents of regions and mayors, as well as hosting dozen of events and official ceremonies.

The Protocol Service also ensures effective collaboration with its counterparts in the other European institutions and partner organisations.
