On 22 April Mr Zacharides had a bilateral meeting with MEP Eero Heinalouma, rapporteur for the European Business Wallets file in the ITRE commiitte. The rapporteurs discussed the timing of the EP report as well as the key issues that may affect local and regional authorities. The CoR rapporteur suggested that the future wallets for businesses should be designed to be attractive and simple to use by SMEs and stressed the importance of supporting smaller municipalities in the implementation of digital wallets.
