European Chemicals Industry Action Plan

The CoR is participating in an observer capacity in DG GROW’s Critical Chemicals Alliance. The CoR is represented in Working Group 3 'Modernisation and Investments' by Mr. Frederiek Vermeulen, the CoR rapporteur on the 'EU Chemicals Industry Action Plan' opinion. This group is examining the modernisation and long term investment needs required to sustain critical chemical production in the EU. Deliverables f or the group include preparing quarterly monitoring reports and proving input for the Charter for the Alliance. Three General Assembly meetings have taken place to date, and work of this Alliance will conclude in June 2026.
