1. Building better Cities together: EUI call for Peer Reviews.
Does your city face challenges related to the design and implementation of Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) strategies? Would you like to get insights and tailored feedback from colleagues in other cities that have faced and overcome similar difficulties?
The European Urban Initiative (EUI) calls for peer reviews to supports cities in developing, implementing or monitoring an effective SUD strategy by matching a "City under Review" with individuals from up to six cities acting as "peer reviewers". This process involves preparation and participation in a two-day Peer Review Event with workshops, panel discussion, study visits and networking as well as a report on the main recommendations per city. Both sides of the exchange benefit from sharing experiences, approaches and ideas while receiving further input from EUI experts and the EUI secretariat.

2. It's your city's time to shine: Covenant of Mayors Award 2025
This is your opportunity to place the spotlight on your endeavours in decarbonising the heating and cooling sector in your city – be one of three winners to present their projects at prestigious high-level events and inspire other cities across Europe and beyond!
The EU Covenant of Mayors Award recognises cities' achievements in implementing innovative projects that contribute to local decarbonisation strategies, promoting cleaner air, a stronger economy and more resilient communities. Whether or not your application succeeds, your city will gain visibility across Europe and the globe by joining the pool of inspiration for interviews, case studies and events.
The call is open to all Covenant signatories.

3. 7th Call of the European City Facility – Supporting the Implementation of Climate and Energy Action Plans
Are you looking for support in mobilising financial resources to implement projects defined in your climate and energy action plans? Then the European City Facility may offer you a valuable opportunity.
As one of 71 beneficiaries your municipality will receive a fixed grant of EUR 60 000 to develop investment concepts that provide potential investors and financial institutions with the necessary information for them to assess their financial involvement. The grant cannot directly fund your municipalities' planned projects, but covers the costs to mobilise resources through financing activities such as feasibility studies, market- or stakeholder analyses, legal-, economic- and financial risk assessments etc. Applicants are required to have a climate and/or energy action plan.
