EuroPCom, the European Public Communication Conference, is Europe's largest annual gathering of experts in the field of public communication and is jointly organised by the EU institutions. The 14th EuroPCom conference took place on 26 and 27 June 2023 in Brussels and online.
In the year before the European elections, EuroPCom was all about democracy. Over 1400, participants both on line and on-site, gathered under the slogan "Communicating Democracy – Communicating Europe". Communication experts from the local, regional, national and European level shared their best practices for successful communication strategies and discuss how to engage voters. They also looked at how disinformation is affecting democracy, and how open data solutions can empower citizens, among many other topical issues. EuroPCom 2023 was innovative, as it hosted the first AI speaker in an EU conference.
