Commission for Economic Policy (ECON)  

The remit of the Commission for Economic Policy covers the following fields:     

  • Industrial Policy
  • SME policy
  • Economic and Monetary Policy
  • Economic Governance, European Semester
  • Internal market
  • International Trade and Tariffs
  • Public procurement, Competition and State aid policy     

The CoR Monitoring Platform and the European Entrepreneurial Regions (EER) help ECON members monitor current trends and challenges and identify good policy practices.

The high level multi-stakeholder platform on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) supports and advises the European Commission on the implementation of SDGs. It allows the CoR to build a common language with all other stakeholders and propose recommendations for a sustainable EU. The input of the CoR is coordinated by the ECON Commission.
