The 3rd ENVE commission meeting will take place fully in person on Monday, 5 May 2025 from 11:00 to 17:00 in the room JDE 52 at the European Committee of the Regions, Rue Belliard 99-101, Brussels.
This meeting will be available on the web-streaming link.
The agenda includes the adoption of two draft opinions:
- More than funding: local and regional authorities mobilising public and private resources for an effective follow-up on the Clean Transition Dialogues on the ground by rapporteur Åsa Ågren Wikström (PL/EPP)
- Climate Action implementation in view of the EU contribution to UNFCCC COP30 by rapporteur Nadia Pellefigue (FR/PES)
After the two adoptions there will be an exchange of views and a cross-commission debate on the Affordable Energy Action Plan and the Clean Industrial Deal, with ENVE rapporteur Hannah Zdanowska (PL/EPP) and ECON rapporteur William Elofsson (SE/EPP). Representatives from the European Commission will also participate in the debate.
Additionally, there will be a Green Deal Helpdesk featuring a presentation from the Valencia regional government on the waste management, decontamination and protection plan for the Albufera Natural Park following the flooding, as well as from DG Environment on the Environmental Implementation Review (EIR).
