The conference will bring together EU and national policy makers, local and regional authorities, industry and other stakeholders and experts from across Europe to share their expertise and experience on the different components of the most successful deposit return systems. It is a timely response to the revised EU directives on waste and the new Directive on Single-Use Plastics, which promotes deposit return systems as a way to achieve the new separate collection target for beverage bottles of 90% by 2029 and help Europe transition towards a circular economy.
The aim of this conference is to bring together governments, DRS operators, experts, producers and technology providers from countries across Europe to offer their expertise on the various components of best in class DRS systems.
The conference is organised by the Reloop Platform and the European Association of Bottled Waters.
