The CoR is preparing an opinion on "The new Urban Mobility Framework" and has appointed Linda Gaasch (LU/Greens), Member of Luxembourg City Council, as rapporteur for the opinion. 

In the context of the European Green Deal Smart and Sustainable Mobility Strategy, the European Commission published a Communication on “The new EU Urban Mobility Framework” as part of a package of measures adopted in December 2021. The new Framework takes stock of the progress made and challenges remaining some eight years after the adoption of the 2013 Urban Mobility Package.

The CoR rapporteur would be pleased to collect the views of relevant stakeholders during a Stakeholder Consultation taking place today, 20 April, from 15.00-17.00. The meeting will be interactive and primarily focussed on stakeholders' input and presentation of positions on the subject. The draft opinion will be discussed at the meeting of the COTER Commission on 11 July, with the final adoption scheduled for the plenary session of 12-14 October.
