​This online local dialogue, hosted by CoR member Sergio Caci (EPP\IT), Mayor of Montalto di Castro, sheds light on Tuscia, a geographical region that includes most of Tuscany and Umbria as well as parts of Lazio. It will discuss a plan on how to restart tourism after the pandemic through a model that can be applied to other regions across Europe. Areas which are found in the periphery of large cities have an important role to play in restarting tourism. The lower population density, the large green spaces, the sea, the mountains, the natural environment as well as the historical and cultural heritage will allow citizens to experience vacation in a safe environment which offers several wonders. Tuscia has all these characteristics making it ideal to restart tourism. What policies are required to make this happen and exploit such opportunities.

The event will bring together the local, regional and European level. Mr. Bigiotti and Mr. Fiorentini, members of the YEP Programme, are among the speakers. The former President of the European Parliament and Vice-President of the EPP Antonio Tajani will be concluding the event.
