The EU Citizens' Dialogue in Bad St. Leonhard is a cooperation between the municipality (the mayor is a CoR Local Councillor), the Province of Carinthia and the Governor and CoR Member Peter Kaiser, the EUROPE DIRECT Carinthia Centre and the Citizens' Forum of EP Vice-President Karas.
The population was invited to submit questions via a survey. The public submitted a total of 120 questions. The questions relate in particular to the areas of the functioning of the European Union, climate/environment, agriculture, economy, migration. In addition to the participation of citizens, associations and youth organisations such as the pensioners' associations and the rural youth were also mobilised for the citizens' dialogue. The event is announced on the platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe. The citizens' questions will be discussed in the dialogue and posted on the platform. The local council of Bad St. Leonhard will also deal with the collected questions politically and bring them to decision-makers.
