War, unaffordable housing, the climate crisis, poverty, unequal pay and uneven access to healthcare are the biggest challenges of our times and all have a dominant gender dimension. On the occasion of International Women's Day 2023, the European Committee of the Regions is organising the event From local to global: fostering women's leadership in a changing world on 14 March 2023.
The conference will focus on the experiences from women leaders in their countries, cities and regions, stressing their role as protagonists in shaping the future of their communities and highlighting the challenges in fostering gender parity in decision-making.
The President of the CoR, Vasco Alves Cordeiro, will join guest speakers and CoR members working the topic of gender equality, debating how to build a fairer and more sustainable future in which women have a greater say in politics.
If you would like to attend the event in person at the CoR, please register here.
