The objective of the conference wasbe to present best practices of cross-border cooperation in the field of crisis management, in preventing and dealing with cross-border natural disasters in European border regions and to identify remaining obstacles.
The participants discussed the most frequent problems encountered as well as how to overcome them.
The event was an opportunity as well to hear good examples from around Europe as well as speeches from the European Committee of the Regions, European Commission and the United Nations.
