​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Commission for Economic Policy (ECON) coordinates ECON members' input on issues related to economic and industrial policy, such as competition and State Aid policy, public procurement, SME policy and entrepreneurship, economic governance and the European Semester, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the internal market and the digital single market. Its activities also encompass economic and monetary policy, taxation policy, international trade and tariffs (including WTO issues) and local/regional finances.

Over de commissie ECON

Het secretariaat van de commissie ECON is ook verantwoordelijk voor de wedstrijd “Europese Ondernemende Regio’s” (EOR), die Europese regio’s met de meest geloofwaardige, toekomstgerichte en veelbelovende visie en innovatieve beleidsstrategie voor ondernemerschap beloont.

ECON leidt het Netwerk van regionale hubs ter beoordeling van de uitvoering van EU-beleid (RegHub). RegHub is een platform dat lokale en regionale actoren via raadplegingen een stem geeft en hun ervaringen met de uitvoering van EU-beleid verzamelt.

ECON beheert het breedbandplatform, een gezamenlijk initiatief van het Europees Comité van de Regio’s (CvdR) en de Europese Commissie dat erop gericht is snelle breedband in alle Europese regio’s beschikbaar te maken.

ECON treedt ook op als voortrekker en coördinator bij de betrekkingen tussen het CvdR en de Europese Investeringsbank Groep, die een breed scala aan acties en beleidsterreinen omvatten.

De belangrijkste analyses en raadplegingen van het monitoringplatform met betrekking tot Europa 2020 en het Europees Semester staan op onze archiefpagina.
