Meeting of the ENVE commission  

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The June ENVE commission meeting will take place on Thursday, 29 June from 11:00 to 17:00 at the European Committee of the Regions, Rue Belliard 99-101, Brussels room JDE 52  and participation will be fully in person.

The general public will also be able to follow the meeting remotely via the following link Web streaming link.

In the morning, the agenda foresees a Debate titled 'Conclusions of the Swedish EU Presidency: status of work, pending matters and next steps in the policy areas of Environment, Climate Change and Energy' followed by the adoption of the CoR Opinion on ''UNFCCC COP28: the role of subnational authorities in keeping climate ambition on track'', Rapporteur Rafał TRASZKOWSKI (PL/EPP).

In the afternoon, we have two exchanges of views namely on the Opinion "Towards a multilevel Green Deal governance: the revision of the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action regulation", Rapporteur Joško KLISOVIC (HR/PES) and on an Opinion about the European Hydrogen Bank, Rapporteur Ariana Maria CENSI (IT/PES).

The meeting will conclude with an update on the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform by Marieke SCHOUTEN (NL/Greens) and presentations by Municipal Waste Europe and the JRC. The former will focus on best practice at municipal level for the treatment of solid waste, while the latter on the JRC's recent publication 'Policy Atlas of Sustainable Urban Development for Small Urban Areas'. ​
