NAT Stakeholders consultation: Towards sustainable use of natural resources within the Mediterranean insular context

Mallorca, west coast, Tramuntana mountains

The NAT Stakeholders consultation on

Towards sustainable use of natural resources within the Mediterranean insular context
will take place on

4 March 2020 from 14:30 to 18:00

in the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels
room JDE 70

The rapporteur Mrs Francina Armengol I Socias (PES/ES) is inviting you to a stakeholder consultation dedicated to sustainable development in the Mediterranean islands and the difficulties created by insularity. Scarcity of water and land, pollution and over-tourism meet a world of unique biodiversity, culture and tradition, requiring a rather unorthodox approach to governance.

The CoR opinion will search to propose measures that are tailor-made for the Mediterranean insular context, and look into possible fine-tuning policies, funding instruments, cross-border cooperation and use of natural resources in order to achieve the desired results.

In order to get access to the CoR premises, please register until the 1st of March using the following link:
