The chairs of the six policy commissions of the European Committee of the Regions were elected on 13 February, the last day of the inaugural plenary of the Committee's 2020-25 mandate.

Territorial Cohesion Policy and EU Budget (COTER): 
Isabelle Boudineau (FR/PES), Vice-president of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Council

Economic Policy (ECON): 
Michael Murphy (IE/EPP), member of Tipperary County Council

Environment, Climate Change and Energy (ENVE): 
Juan Espadas Ceja, (ES/PES), Mayor of Seville

Natural Resources (NAT): 
Ulrika Carlefall Landergren (SE/Renew Europe), member of Kungsbacka Municipal Council

Social Policy, Education, Employment, Research and Culture (SEDEC): 
Anne Karjalainen (FI/PES), member of Kerava City Council
