The 18th NAT Commission Meeting will take place on Friday, 9 March 2018. 
 

 

 

 

The following draft opinions will be adopted:
 
Mid-term review of the EU Forest Strategy
(Rapporteur: Ossi MARTIKAINEN (FI/ALDE))
 
The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) beyond 2020 – Investing in Europe's Coastal Communities
(Rapporteur: Alberto NUNEZ FEIJOO (ES/EPP))

Review of the EU Union Civil Protection Mechanism
(Rapporteur: Adam BANASZAK (PL/ECR))
 
The NAT commission will discuss the working document on 

Local and regional incentives to promote healthy and sustainable diets
(Rapporteur: Nikolaos CHIOTAKIS (GR/EPP))
 
The NAT Commission will discuss the proposal for an own-initiative opinion on the Union's authorisation procedure for pesticides (Suggested by the PES Group for allocation to all NAT members).
 
There will be two debates held during the second part of the Meeting:


"Broadband connectivity"
Intervention by Mr. Mart Võrklaev (ALDE/EE), Member of the SEDEC Commission of the CoR and rapporteur on the opinion "Boosting broadband connectivity in Europe"


"The European Year of Cultural Heritage" and the activities of "Europa Nostra" in the field of tourism
Intervention by Mrs. Lorena Aldana-Ortega, Representative of the "European Year of Culture Heritage 2018" and Mr. Piet Jaspaert, Vice-President of the "Europa Nostra Award".
