Digital transformation of society has expanded the threat landscape and is bringing about new challenges, which require adapted and innovative responses. The number of cyberattacks continues to rise, coming from a wide range of sources inside and outside the EU.
What to do when being faced with a cyber threat? How to prevent and combat cybercrimes? What are the tools and technologies that the EU put in place to ensure a cyber-secure digital transformation? Should we all get the basic skills to become amateur hackers to protect our privacy and data?
Join this year's second CoR Digital Masterclasses webinar. This time, bringing together cybersecurity experts. Introduction into the topic will be presented by Ann Mennens, Cyber Aware Programme Manager at the European Commission. Afterwards, Tobias Schroedel, IT security expert and first comedyhacker will perform a live password-hacking demonstration.
Background: In 2020, the CoR social media team introduced the CoR Digital Masterclasses project, aiming to strengthen the use of digital communications in local and regional politicians' work. When physical meetings relocated online, the high-level talks and workshops were made available also to a wider public in the form of webinars. Two years later, the project was relaunched while keeping its primary goal: Provide CoR members with access to digital skills and motivate them to connect and engage with their citizens online. Our webinars remain open to all professionals and fans of digital communication.
All registered participants will receive recording of the webinar.
