EU resources for mobility and transport under the next MFF - with the focus on the Connecting Europe Facility and Financial Instruments
EU resources for mobility and transport allow financing from research to
implementation and are implemented via funding instruments under direct or
shared management, aiming at contributing to the completion of the Trans
European Transport Network (TEN-T), accelerating the decarbonisation and
digitalisation of the transport sector as well as to promote research into
resource-efficient transport.
Negotiations are now underway on the next EU long-term budget for the
period 2021-2027. So far, Common Understandings were reached between both
Council and European Parliament in March 2019 on the CEF, InvestEU and
Horizon Europe. The agreements do however leave aside at this stage all
budgetary and certain horizontal provisions, pending further progress on
the MFF.
This lunch event provides the opportunity to discuss together with
Lydia Rooney, Policy Officer at the Unit B.2 Transport Investment,
DG Move, European Commission
, the outcome of the negotiations to date in particular on CEF and
InvestEU, which will bring together under one roof the multitude of EU
financial instruments currently available to support investment in the EU.
The midday conference will be held in English without
interpretation service on Wednesday 5th of June between
12h30 and 14h00 in the premises of the European Region Tyrol-South
Tyrol-Trentino rue de Pascale 47 – 1040 Brussels.
After the event there will be networking opportunities during the lunch
buffet. Please register by the 4th of June using the
