Following the adoption of the CoR opinion on Food waste, the rapporteur Mr Ossi Martikainen (FI/ALDE) called upon members to put forward examples of food waste prevention actions as implemented in their regions and cities. The aim is to share knowledge between members and inspire each other.
Seven best practices from across European Union were thus collected from food donation to awareness raising campaigns to separate waste collection.
