The European Commission recently adopted the 8th Report on Economic, Social
and Territorial Cohesion, which was presented by Elisa Ferreira, European
Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, to the EP's Regional Development
Committee on 10 February. The report highlights the main changes in
territorial disparities over the past decade and how EU and national
policies have affected these. In addition, it points to the growth
potential of the green and digital transitions and launches a reflection on
how cohesion policy should evolve in the years to come. During this
technical briefing, the main findings and conclusions from the report will
be explained in detail. The presentation will be followed by a
questions-and-answers session. Interpretation will be available from/into
English, French and German.
