​​​The European Alliance of Cities and Regions for the Reconstruction of Ukraine has been progressively taking shape and bringing partners together since its launch on 30 June 2022. This meeting will gather, for the second time, the political leadership of the founding partners in order to debate the recent Alliance-related events, the current political aspects of Ukraine's steps towards EU accession, and the strategic outlook for the second half of 2023.

A special focus will be paid to the CoR's participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London on 21-22 June, on behalf of the Alliance, and the promotion of the recommendations formulated at the joint workshop "Strengthening the Role of Local and Regional Governments in Ukraine's Recovery and Reconstruction Process, and on the road to EU Membership" earlier on 25 May.

The meeting will be chaired by the CoR President, Alves Vasco Cordeiro, and will feature contributions from the European Commission, the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian local and regional authorities, reporting about the reconstruction needs on the ground.​
