The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is drafting an opinion on Artificial Intelligence for Europe (COM(2018) 237 final). The opinion will react to and bring forward ideas from the local and regional point of view to the European Commission's Communication published on 25 April 2018.

The rapporteur of the opinion, Mr Jan Trei (EE/EPP), Mayor of Viimsi Rural Municipality, together with his expert, Mr Raivo Sell, would be happy to meet with representatives of your organisation and other important stakeholders for a consultation and an exchange of views on the relevant topics of this opinion to gather the different points of views and discuss the main issues.

The rapporteur would be very keen to hear your views during the meeting. After a short introduction by the rapporteur, stakeholders will be invited to exchange views with the rapporteur.

The meeting will be held in English and Estonian.

For practical reasons, you are kindly asked to register your participation before COB on Friday, 12 October 2018.

Please note that in order to reduce paper waste, the CoR will not provide paper copies of documents for the meeting.
