The EU Green Week is back in our calendars once again this year. As one of
the key annual opportunities to debate European environmental policy with
policymakers, leading environmentalists and stakeholders, this year's
edition focuses on the European Green Deal.
The
EU Green Week 2022
will take place in hybrid format on 30 - 31 May 2022. The programme is
planned as follows:
On Monday 30 May:
11:30 – 12:30 CEST
14:30-15:30 CEST
The ENVE Chair, and Deputy-Mayor of Budapest, Ms Kata Tüttő (HU/PES), will take part in this session
analysing how cities and regions across Europe keep the Green Deal in their
agenda in times of crises and showing the CoR mechanisms to help regions
and cities stay on track with its implementation.

The EU Green Week will continue with the organization of side events by
partners.
Ms Kata Tüttő (HU/PES) is also participating in a side event on Wednesday 1
June 10:00 – 11:00 CEST on "Greener, smarter, and more resilient: a look
into the role of technology in sustainable cities”.
Finally, the ENVE Commission is co-organizing a side event
on Thursday 2 June, 9:00 - 10:30 CEST with Under2 Coalition on
Regional Climate Action: The importance of subnational actors in
delivering the EU Green Deal
. Mr Tjisse Stelpstra, (NL/ECR) and Mr Vicent Chauvet (FR/RE) are expected
to participate for emphasizing the relevant role of local and regional
authorities in the achieving zero pollution, a circular economy and
promoting green budgeting mechanisms.
