Launch of Trufforum 2022

In 2022, the forum for knowledge exchange and international cooperation on truffles will organise activities in different regions of the European Union such as Vic (Catalonia-Spain), Occitanie (France), Soria (Castilla y León-Spain), Teruel (Aragon-Spain) and for the first time, a collaboration with other countries will be organised with an aim of supporting European black truffle sector, such as it is the case with an event in New York (USA).

Since its creation by the EGTC-European MYCOLOGICAL Institute (EMI), TRUFFORUM has established itself as the main international cooperation forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge, sectoral meeting and promotion of responsible and tourist use of truffles in Europe.

In 2022, TRUFFORUM will return to the face-to-face format with scientific seminars on fresh truffle markets, exhibitions, workshops and gastronomic demonstrations. It will also maintain hybrid events and increase international collaborations in order to promote knowledge of truffle in other countries such as the USA, with a training activity and a European black truffle tasting foreseen at the prestigious American Culinary Institute in New York with the collaboration of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM).

TRUFFORUM 2022 will once again be assisted by the French Federation of Trustees (FFT), the Spanish Federation of Trustees (FETT), the European Trufa and Trufty Group (GETT) and with the support of public institutions and trustees' associations in Occitania (France), Vic (Catalonia), Teruel and Soria-Burgos-Valladolid-Castilla y León, which bring together the main production areas of European black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) worldwide.

TRUFFORUM 2022 will foster innovation and knowledge exchange with the participation of prestigious international scientists, specialised cooks, industry companies and interested end-users. This edition included the exceptional collaboration of Jeremiah Tower, one of the most prestigious chefs in the United States, a promoter of Californian Cocina.
