After two successful citizen dialogues supported by Paula FERNÁNDEZ VIAÑA, CoR member and co-organised by the Government of Cantabria the third event aims at discussing and identifying the challenges of citizens of rural areas.
Thirty selected citizens from the rural municipalities of Cantabria and Asturias will gather in the picturesque location of the Argüeso Castle to exchange in three thematic roundtables:
- Connectivity, innovation and business development
- Education in mountain areas
- Health Services in areas with natural disadvantages
The discussion of the diverse audience will be steered by experts who aim to get replies to the questions of: What do EU citizens expect from the EU to alleviate the disadvantages faced by mountain areas.
The implementation of the methodology provided by the Bertelsmann Stiftung ensures a storng correlation to the aims of the Conference on the Future of Europe where the outcome of the event will be recorded.
