​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Commission for Economic Policy (ECON) coordinates ECON members' input on issues related to economic and industrial policy, such as competition and State Aid policy, public procurement, SME policy and entrepreneurship, economic governance and the European Semester, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the internal market and the digital single market. Its activities also encompass economic and monetary policy, taxation policy, international trade and tariffs (including WTO issues) and local/regional finances.

À propos

Le secrétariat de la commission ECON est responsable de l’organisation du prix de la Région européenne entreprenante (REE), qui récompense les régions de l’UE ayant la vision la plus crédible, la plus tournée vers l’avenir et la plus prometteuse ainsi que la stratégie la plus innovante en matière de politique entrepreneuriale.

La commission ECON est responsable du réseau de pôles régionaux pour l’examen de la mise en œuvre de la politique de l’UE (RegHub). RegHub est une plateforme au sein de laquelle des acteurs locaux et régionaux participent à des consultations destinées à recueillir leurs expériences sur la mise en œuvre des politiques de l’UE.

La commission ECON gère la plateforme consacrée au haut débit, qui est une initiative conjointe du Comité européen des régions (CdR) et de la Commission européenne dont l’objectif est de contribuer à ce que le haut débit soit disponible dans toutes les régions d’Europe.

La commission ECON joue également un rôle moteur et de coordination dans les relations entre le CdR et le groupe de la Banque européenne d’investissement (BEI), qui couvre un large éventail d’actions et de domaines politiques.
