​On 22 February, 9:00-17:00, a workshop on the “economic implications of Brexit on European regions" will be held on the premises of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR).

City-REDI at the University of Birmingham, supported by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) in the UK and “The UK in a Changing EU" project, will present their research to political and business leaders, together with academics and civil society organisations, and discuss the likely impact of Brexit on European regions.

The workshop will also provide a platform for city, regional and national stakeholders to share their own regional-specific research findings and collaborate with the organisers on developing alternative post-Brexit scenarios, considering both what city-regional authorities want and also what policy responses are likely to be most effective.
