This event engaged Pomorskie Region's citizens - mainly youth and seniors as well as
representatives of regional and local authorities - in a debate about Europe's present and future identity.
The online
civic debate was an opportunity to share views and discuss today's European challenges, such as the
community values crisis, disinformation (mainly online) posing a serious threat to democracy and also the ways to rebuild citizens' trust in the EU and bring it closer to their needs.
The "Pomorskie in the European
Union" Association invited high level representatives from the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), the European Parliament, the European Commission, national and international NGO's to present their views and perspectives.
Mieczysław Struk, CoR member, Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship opened the event followed by a line of high level speakers that can be consulted in the agenda available in EN and in PL.
The expected outcomes are: better understanding of the views of Pomorskie Region citizens' and expectations
on the future or Europe, raising awareness and promoting citizen engagement.
This high-level event with the participation of the well-known politicians and other important stakeholders will
be open to the public.
