The 22nd COTER Commission meeting and conference on "Supporting and developing an efficient cohesion policy which starts with the EUs local and regional authorities" will take place on 25/03/2019 from 09:00 to 16:00 (Conference) and 26/03/2019 from 10:00 to 16:30 (COTER meeting) at Grand Hotel Italia, Str. Vasile Conta 2, RO 400479 Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

At the COTER meeting, members will be invited to discuss and adopt the following opinion:

• Macro-regional strategies, by rapporteur Dainis TURLAIS (LV/ALDE)

and hold an exchange of views on the following opinions:

• Recommendations for regional development strategies, by Adam STRUZIK (PL/EPP)
• Better Communication for Cohesion Policy, by Rapporteur Adrian Ovidiu TEBAN (RO/EPP)

Members will also have the opportunity to hear a presentation on the ESPON Territorial Referenceproject.

The COTER conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the implementation and delivery of the 2014-2020 cohesion policy programmes, the preparation for the new cohesion policy post-2020, as well as best practices for better communicating the achievements of cohesion policy.
