17th COTER Commission Meeting  

The 17th meeting of the COTER commission will be held on 27 February 2018 in Brussels.

 

During the meeting, the COTER members will discuss and adopt two draft opinions: on the "Mid-term revision of the ESF preparing the post-2020 proposal" by rapporteur Catiuscia MARINI (IT/PES) and on "the cost and risk of non-cohesion: the strategic value of Cohesion policy in pursuing the Treaty objectives and facing new challenges to European regions" by rapporteur Mieczyslaw STRUK (PL/EPP). In addition the Members will exchange views on the forthcoming opinions that will be adopted at the next COTER meeting of 27 April. Those opinions are "Boosting growth and cohesion in EU border regions" by rapporteur János Ádám KARÁCSONY (HU/EPP), the "Implementation Assessment of the Urban Agenda for the EU" by rapporteur Kieran MCCARTHY (IE/EA) and "Delivering on low-emission mobility" by rapporteur Michiel SCHEFFER (NL/ALDE).

From the European Commission Mr Nicola De Michelis, Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Crețu, will present the communication "A new, modern Multiannual Financial Framework for a European Union that delivers efficiently on its priorities post-2020". The COTER Members will also discuss the Annual Impact Report for 2017 and the implementation of the Urban Agenda for the EU together with the EIB.
