COP27 network event – EU Green Deal: from local to global

​On 16 November 2022, CoR delegation rallies key global networks of regions and cities in the Plzen Room of the EU Pavillion to renew the partnership between them and launch the Declaration on the EU Green Deal: from local to global. Representatives from ICLEI, Under2Coalition, EIT Climate-KIC, Climate Alliance, Climate Chance, Regions4 and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) will gather to discuss a joint Roadmap for COP28 and highlight the key milestones for cooperation.

The CoR will work with the aim of the inclusion of the COP 27 conclusions the key role of the local and regional authorities, developing the Paris Agreement Preamble and the Glasgow Climate Pact. It will also propose the UNFCCC to organize an Annual Subnational Climate Forum for dialogue between Parties and local and regional authorities towards COP28.
