The ENVE commission meeting taking place on 1 February 2021 for​​esees a Green Deal debate on The environmental component of the Green Deal with the participation of Florika FINK-HOOIJER, Director-General of DG Environment, European Commission

The ENVE commission meeting will also adopt the following draft opinion:

• A Renovation Wave for Europe - greening our buildings, creating jobs, improving lives - Enrico ROSSI (IT/PES)

Followed by a general exploratory debate of the opinion:

• 8th Environment Action Programme – Dimitrios KARNAVOS (EL/EPP)

And an exchange of views of the opinions on:

• Stepping up Europe’s 2030 climate ambition towards COP26 - Vincent CHAUVET (FR/RE)
• Safe and sustainable chemicals for a toxic-free environment in Europe's cities and regions - Adam STRUZIK (PL/EPP)
• ​Local and regional authorities protecting the marine environment - Emma NOHREN (SE/The Greens)

The ENVE Commission will also hold an exchange of views on the "Experiences and Lessons Learned by Regions and Cities during the Covid-19 Crisis" with the participation of Joke SCHAUVLIEGE (BE/EPP), Member of NAT commission and rapporteur for the opinion on the "Experiences and Lessons Learned by Regions and Cities during the Covid-19 Crisis"
