Afin de permettre à nos rapporteurs et à leurs membres de bénéficier d'un soutien optimal en matière d'information, le Comité européen des régions (CdR) peut faire appel à des experts externes pour réaliser des études scientifiques sur certains sujets d'intérêt.

En complément de ces études publiées par le CdR, le Service de recherche du Parlement européen (EPRS) élabore également des notes et des analyses relatives au travail consultatif du CdR et étayant celui-ci, conformément à l'accord de coopération conclu entre le Comité européen des régions et le Parlement européen le 5 février 2014.
