"Migrants in Europe today: specific needs, skills and communication for stronger inclusion"
The European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee have launched the call for expression of interest to participate in the 8th meeting of the European Migration Forum, which will take place on 4 - 5 December 2023 in Brussels.
The European Migration Forum (EMF) is a platform for dialogue between civil society and the European institutions on issues relating to migration, asylum and migrant integration.
The 8th EMF meeting on Migrants in Europe today: specific needs, skills and communication for stronger inclusion, will aim to address how to identify and support migrants and refugees with specific needs; examine public attitudes and communication on migration and inclusion, as well as look at sustainable labour market integration.
The event will have an interactive, participatory approach. The core of the event will consist of roundtable discussions, working groups, and panel discussions. There will also be a "Networking Village", where some participants will be able to present their projects or good practice. All participants will be expected to contribute to discussions and work in groups. Please note that the working language of the forum will be English. Interpretation for a limited number of languages will be provided at the plenary sessions only.
Local and regional authorities interested in participating are invited to complete the application form here, and submit it in until 14 September 2023. Late applications will not be considered. Please kindly note that from the choices in point 3 of the application, please select the "type of organisation": "local or regional authority."
Participants will be selected by the European Commission and the EESC (European Economic and Social Committee). The final list of participants will be approved by the EMF bureau.
