The European Committee of the Regions and the European Commission are pleased to invite you to their joint Knowledge Exchange Platform event to take place in the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities, on Wednesday 13 October 2021, from 11:30 to 13:00, online.
The Knowledge Exchange Platform (KEP) provides twice a year an occasion of open exchange between the Commission and the Committee of the Regions' members on jointly selected topics. This year's second event focuses on the role of regions and cities in the European green recovery.
Regions and cities are key players in addressing major societal and environmental challenges that the EU is facing to achieve a green and digital future for Europe. The Recovery and Resilience Plans give an incredible opportunity to overcome these challenges through investments and reforms: the discussion will highlight the catalysing role of research and innovation to achieve the twin transition underpinning the crucial role of local and regional authorities in the phase of implementation of the Plans.
The session will consist of a workshop, including roundtable discussions and Q&A with the audience.
You can already REGISTER on the session's dedicated webpage.
Looking forward to welcoming you in the audience!
