EuroPCom is the key annual meeting for experts in the field of public communication. Jointly organised by the EU institutions on
7-8 December 2020, the event will be completely online, and follows the earlier special edition of EuroPCom in June 2020.
In a packed one-and-a-half day programme, communication experts from different sectors will help members of the EuroPCom community to reflect on the major issues around the
three key conference themes: Citizens, Green and Digital.
Registered participants will also be able to enter the
EuroPCom Market Place to network, meet old friends (and new!), and visit the virtual exhibition stalls of a wide range of institutions and organisations with exciting projects and stories to share.
Discussions will focus on the roles of citizens in the EU democracy and on the Conference on the Future of Europe. How can citizens play a leading role in the Conference on the Future of Europe ? What are the emerging forms of political debates? How do regions and cities contribute to the future of EU democracy?
Conversations will explore the various aspects of the communication on Green deal. What are citizens expectations ? How can we engage the public in ambitions for climate action? Does the COVID-19 outbreak change the game?
Discussions will reflect on innovative digital forms of participatory democracy as well as disinformation in time of crisis. What are the latest trends, tools and platforms enabling citizens to have their say in co-constructing the future of European democracy? How to recognise and counter disinformation narratives?
