Last month, the European Commission launched its Big Buyers for Climate and Environment (BBCE) initiative, which aims to promote cooperation between big public buyers in implementing strategic public procurement for sustainable solutions.
Regions and cities can join this initiative to share knowledge and develop new products and services leveraging their buying power.
Four areas for joint collaboration will be established, based on the input provided by participants.
ICLEI and EUROCITIES are currently running the initiative on behalf of the European Commission.
