Peer-to-peer cooperation
The work of the Ukraine Task Force has evolved over the years from offering general policy advice for more concrete projects, focused on developing capacity-building in support of public administration reform. In 2018, a peer-to-peer cooperation initiative was implemented with the support of the U-LEAD programme. Five EU-Ukrainian pairs of partners worked on projects in the field of local economic development, tourism, energy efficiency, rural development and citizens' involvement. At the final wrap-up event on 13 February 2019 in Brussels, the stakeholders concluded that the aims of the pilot phase of the peer-to-peer cooperation were achieved.
The next phase of peer-to-peer cooperation took place in 2022, with the support of the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) and its "Integrity Cities" concept. The cities exchanged experience in the field of fighting corruption and raising transparency of local public administration.
