"Reflecting on Europe" on Europe Day

All over the EU, Europe Day is celebrated every year on 9 May, to mark the anniversary of the historical 'Schuman declaration' of 1950. Robert Schuman, the French foreign minister of the time, introduced his idea of political cooperation in Europe, today considered as the beginning of what is now the European Union.

Within the framework of "Reflecting on Europe", a series of events offering a space for citizens to present their ideas, thoughts and opinions about the future of Europe, the European Committee of the Regions co-organises several events on this years' Europe Day. Find out about them in more detail below and join the debate!
