The European Green Week 2021 focuses on the 'zero pollution ambition'. It will also look at other relevant European Green Deal initiatives, such the climate initiatives, the Chemicals Strategy, as well as initiatives in the field of energy, industry, mobility, agriculture, fisheries, health and biodiversity.
During the Green Week 2021, the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) will:
- co-organise with DG Environment and Eurocities, a session on achieving zero-pollution cities through the Green City Accord on 4 June 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- attend via CoR President Tzitzikostas, the closing ceremony with Commissioner Sinkevičius on 4 June from 11:30 a.m.
- co-organise a partner event with the European region of Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino on the "Rural and urban challenges in developing regional zero-pollution plans" on 11 June 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
