On 8th November 2021, the European Committee of the Regions will partner with the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha to offer young citizens a local dialogue on the issues which matter to them in the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe.
A debate with young people will take place inside the Parliament of Castilla-La
Mancha. The objective is to involve citizens, especially the youngest, in the Conference on the Future of
Europe (CoFE). The topics, from
among those proposed in the CoFE, will be chosen through a prior consultation period using the Regional
Participation Portal. The debate will be open to the general public, but it will be
university students from the region who will participate in person. More information can be found here. The event is organized together with the
Parliament of Castilla-La Mancha, the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the University of Alcalá de
Henares. The expected impact is to increase the participation of young people in the region in the CoFE.
The debate will be open to the general public, but it will be university students from the region who will participate in person. More information, including the recorded proceedings can be found on the dedicated YouTube account and the Europe Direct website.
