Enabling the circular economy – boosting separate paper collection
The Horizon 2020 IMPACTPapeRec Project is coming to an end in January 2018. To this end, a final conference is organised and hosted by the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on 24 January in the morning.

The conference will bring together professionals from across Europe to inform them about the outcomes of this  very special project that focused on ways to increase separate paper collection in the EU, a key element in Europe’s transition towards a Circular Economy.

19 partners across the value chain have contributed in creating the “Good and Best Practices Handbook for the collection of paper and board for recycling” with information on legislation, standardisation and policy incentives, but most importantly practical tools and concrete steps to take so that municipalities improve paper and board collection wherever they are in Europe.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 690182.
