The European Committee of the Region organises the 4th meeting of its Ukraine Task Force on 8 March 2018, in Brussels.
The event will bring together CoR members and Ukrainian local and regional politicians to discuss the general developments, achievements and challenges of the ongoing decentralisation reform in Ukraine, with a focus on inter-municipal cooperation. Participants will also exchange views on the new possibilities unfolded through peer-to-peer cooperation between the EU and Ukrainian local and regional authorities, an initiative launched under the aegis of the CoR Task Force on Ukraine with support of the European Commission's "U-LEAD with Europe" programme. The Task Force will be chaired by the CoR President Karl-Heinz Lambertz, while Ukrainian delegation will be headed by Vyacheslav Nehoda, Ukraine's First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services.
The launch event of the Peer-to-Peer cooperation between the EU and Ukrainian local and regional authorities will take place in the afternoon.
