On 4 April 2019, the ENVE commission holds its 23rd meeting in Brussels. On this occasion, the ENVE commission will adopt the two following draft opinions:
- "Multilevel governance and cross-sectoral cooperation to fight energy poverty" drafted by Kata TÜTTŐ (HU/PES), Representative of Local Government of District 12 of Budapest
- "A Clean Planet for all - A European strategic long-term vision for a prosperous, modern, competitive and climate neutral economy" drafted by Michele EMILIANO (IT/PES), President of the Puglia Region
An exchange of views on the following working documents will also take place:
- "Sustainable Europe by 2030: Follow-up to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ecologic transition and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change", drafted by rapporteur Sirpa HERTELL (FI/EPP), city councilor of Espoo
- "Implementing the Paris Agreement through innovative and sustainable energy transition at regional and local level", drafted by rapporteur Witold STĘPIEŃ (PL/EPP), Member of the Łódzkie Regional Assembly
- " Implementing the Clean Energy Package: the INECPs as a tool for local and territorial governance approach to climate, active and passive energy ", drafted by rapporteur József RIBÁNYI (HU/EPP), Vice-President of the County Council of Tolna Megye
At the beginning of the afternoon session, ENVE members will receive a debriefing about the "Environmental Implementation Report 2019 and opportunities for mutual learning between regions", given by Ion CODESCU, Head of Unit E2 – Environmental Implementation, European Commission
