The November ENVE commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, 22 November from 11:00 to 17:00 at the European Committee of the Regions, Rue Belliard 99-101, Brussels room JDE 52 and participation will be fully in person.

In the morning, the agenda foresees 2 adoptions on Soil Monitoring and Resilience (Soil Monitoring Law) rapporteur Frida NILSSON (SE/RE) and on the Green Deal and Health, rapporteur Juan Manuel MORENO BONILLA (ES/EPP). The agenda also outlines a discussion on the Annual Impact Report and a first exchange on the Work Programme for 2024.
In the afternoon, we have a Debate on The State of the Energy Union and Climate Action, followed by an exchange of views of the Opinion on Localising energy production: the role of geothermal energy, Rapporteur József RIBÁNYI (HU/ECR). The agenda includes an update on COR participation to COP28.
The meeting will conclude with a Green Deal Helpdesk with 2 presentations on the BiodiverCities Atlas, by Anna Paola Quaglia, and on Green Deal Going Local Campaign in view of contributing to the CoR support toward achieving the EU climate neutrality goal.
