The 20th European Tourism Forum brought together EU country authorities in charge of tourism, representatives of the tourism industry and destinations, international tourism organisations and EU institutions. They discussed effective ways to support the green and digital transition of EU tourism. The forum also served as an opportunity for tourism stakeholders to share their best practices and commitments to support the twin transition and build a more resilient ecosystem.

The forum included three sessions.

  1. EU tourism industry and destinations in driving the transition
  2. Making the transition happen – setting targets and accounting for progress
  3. Supporting tourism-related data exchange for innovation

The European Capital of Smart Tourism Award was presented to the winners - Valecia and Bordeaux - during the Forum.
