The seminar 'Let's talk about the green transition - tips from Nordic cities on the European Green Deal' aims to promote good practices in the implementation of green transformation projects. The seminar is organized jointly by Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of the City of Łódź, Polish Ambassador of the Covenant of Mayors, European Climate Pact Ambassador, Member of the European Committee of Regions, and by HR Anders Eide, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Warsaw. Experiences developed by Nordic cities, leaders of green solutions (Helsinki, Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Reykjavik) and by Polish local governments that successfully implement projects co-financed by the Norwegian Funds (Piła, Cieszyn and Łódź) will be presented. Among panelists there will also be present representatives of the Ministry of Climate and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, who will present up-to-date information on tools and possibilities of financing green projects with the support of external funds. We will present the best practices for implementing green transformation both from the perspective of local governments and business. We hope that participation in the seminar will contribute to more effective implementation of green changes by Polish local governments, and will also inspire new partnerships and projects in this area.
The event can be followed live with interpretation in English and Polish from the following Zoom link.
